About RCRC

The goal of the RCRC Database is to collect high quality, high volume data on robotic colorectal cancer surgery to further promote the use of this innovative, novel technique, and to create a substantial database of real-life data to analyze and compare outcomes with other techniques. This database has been developed after extensive consultation, review, and reassessment, and has been set up to be as extensive and complete as possible, whilst maintaining an accessible and user-friendly interface.

All data entry will be pseudo-anonymised and adheres to the GDPR (2016) regulations. Extensive security and data protection measures have been put in place to ensure the safety and security of all patient records. Data will never be shared with third parties or organisations without express prior consent from representatives of all participating sites and the steering group. Any publications deriving from this database will include references to at least one representative from each participating site.

We believe the future of our profession lies in robotics and that we have only begun to scratch the surface of their potential, and the benefits they can bring to our patients and healthcare.
